High-Frequency Words Starting with A-  and  Be-

This lesson consists of High-Frequency words that can be categorized according to beginnings of a- and be-.  These words often have the schwa sound /uh/, and need to be identified as "a" or "e" vowel words.  For example, "away" sounds like "uh-way" and is spelled with and "a" while "believe" sounds like "buh-lieve" and is spelled with a "be" (and not "ba").
