-TCH and -CH

This lesson consists of words that can be categorized according to endings of -tch and -ch.  Sort these words according to vowel sound.  Short-vowel sound words end in -tch unless there is a vowel + r, l, or n.  Long-vowel sound words will always end in -ch.  However, there are Odballs in this group that don't fit these general spelling rules.

Sort words having short-vowel sounds like "catch" under Short-Vowel.

Sort words having long-vowel sounds like "reach" under Long-Vowel.

Sort words that have a vowel + r, l, or n like "porch" under Vowel + r, l, or n.

Sort words that don't fit any of these categories under Oddballs.
