-DGE and -GE

This lesson consists of words that can be categorized according to endings of -dge and -ge, both having a /j/ sound.  You will sort these words according to vowel sound:  short-vowel sound, long-vowel sound, and vowel + r, l, or n.

Sort words having short-vowel sounds like "badge" under Short-Vowel.

Sort words having long-vowel sounds like "age" under Long-Vowel.

Sort words that have a vowel + r, l, or n like "large" under Vowel + r, l, or n.
