SHORT and LONG /a/

This lesson consists of words that have short and long /a/ sounds using three different spelling patterns.

Sort words having a short /a/ sound with a CVC pattern like "Jack" under CVC.

Sort words having a long /a/ sound using a silent e CVC-e pattern like "space" under CVC-e.

Sort words having a long /a/ sound with a CVVC pattern like "rain" under CVVC.

Sort words not fitting any of these patterns under Oddballs.
