SUFFIXES "-ness" AND "-ful" AND  "-less" AND Combinations of Suffixes


Suffix is the term used to mean letters added on to the end of words.  This lesson consists of words that can be categorized according to the following suffixes

-ness    (means "state of being" - example: "happiness" is the state of being happy)

-ful       (means "full of" - example: "wishful" means full of wishes)

-less     (means "without" - example: "harmless" means without harm)
