UNACCENTED FINAL SYLLABLES (LE/EL/IL/AL)


This lesson consists of words that can be categorized according to the final schwa+l sound (uh+l)  having end-of-word spelling patterns of -le, -el, -il, and -al.  (The "schwa" sound says "uh".)

Sort words that sound like "cattle" and which have the
end-of-word spelling pattern "le"  under -le.

Sort words that sound like "model" and which have the end-of-word spelling pattern "el" under -el.

Sort words that sound like "pencil" and which have the end-of-word spelling pattern "il" under -il.

Sort words that sound like "final" and which have the end-of-word spelling pattern "al" under -al.

Sort words that have the same end-of-word sound, but don't fit any of these categories under "oddball.
