LONG -I PATTERNS in ACCENTED SYLLABLES


This lesson consists of words that have a long /i/ vowel sound in the accented syllables.  Note:  Some words might fit into both 1st and 2nd categories.

Sort words that have the long /i/ sound in the 1st syllable like "frighten" under 1st.

Sort words that have the long /i/ sound in the 2nd syllable like "polite" under 2nd.
