BEGINNING CONSONANTS and BLENDS
This lesson has words beginning with r-, t-, d-, tr- and dr-.
1. Say each word aloud and listen to its beginning consonant sound and the following short vowel sound.
2. Read each word silently and listen in your mind for the beginning consonant sound and the following short vowel sound.
3. Write the words and cut them out.
4. Sort the words into five categories: r- , t- , d- , tr- , and dr-
